Frontrunner IO is an IT consultancy based in Berlin, founded by Andreas Böhrnsen. We bring DevOps practices to the IT operations of mid-sized companies: automated procedures, versioned configuration and changes that are checked before they are rolled out. We do the implementation ourselves and pass the knowledge on to your admins, so your team can carry on without us.

What we know well
Our areas of expertise in IT operations.
We use Ansible, Terraform and similar tools to describe servers and configuration as versioned, testable code that runs automatically.
Pipelines with GitLab CI and similar tools: changes to servers and software are checked and approved automatically before they go live.
Your admins learn the procedures as we implement them together on their own systems. We explain each step and hand over the work so they can continue themselves.
We run servers and migrate them from Windows to Linux. For containerised applications, we use tools from Docker Compose to Kubernetes, suited to the size of your company.
Migration from Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server to PostgreSQL, plus automatic test versions for software you build.
Our work with banks and insurers has given us experience in traceable, auditable changes. We also apply that experience in other companies.
